Donna Doyle
Co-Director/Educational Leader/ Blue Group Teacher

My story: I started teaching the Blue Group at Karalee Community Kindy in January 2019. Working in Community Kindergartens is where I have always wanted to teach, so 2022 is my 24th year as a Kindergarten Teacher but my 35th working in the early childhood sector. Early Childhood Education is also a passion and I strongly advocate for a child centred, play-based approach to the education of young children. I work as part of a team that goes above and beyond for our Kindergarten Community. We love what we do and are happy to continue to learn and grow within our roles. We are also willing to support each other, the children and the families we work with, to blossom in their educational journeys.
I love to spend time with family and close friends. Continuing to learn and grow is also a passion and I like to try out new things.

Karen Simms

My story: I have been teaching at Karalee Community Kindy since January 1998. When I first started teaching here, the kindy was still working out of the community centre next door. I am very passionate about my work in Early Education. I am a strong advocate for children and the belief of learning through play. I love my work and we all, too often, live and breathe our jobs. I believe in the power of developing strong relationships with the children in our care. Research shows these relationships are so powerful in allowing the children to feel confident, comfortable and capable in a learning environment.
I love spending time with family and friends, camping and searching out new cafes with delicious coffee.
Karyn Powles
Blue and Green Group Educator /Chicken mum

My story: I am the "Miss Powles" of the Green Group and “Karyn” of the Blue Group. This is my 23rd year at Karalee Community Kindergarten. n setting, but I did spend a few years in the child care arena too. I love working with young children. I am in constant awe and amazement of their imagination, their thinking processes and their creativity. I heartily believe that children learn best through play. I try to get to know the children in my care and develop a relationship with them, studies show that children thrive when they are in a caring, comfortable and safe environment, this is what I strive to provide for them.
On the rare occasion that I am not at kindy, I like to go to the movies, attend Trivia Nights read books and I sometimes like to garden but the chooks also like to dig up my gardens when they visit so....
Fiona Sippel
Administration/Book Keeper

My story: I work at the kindy in the office on Wednesdays. My three children attended this kindy. I have also been a member of the Management Committee.
In January 2016 I was employed as book keeper and in January 2017 took over administrative duties.
I enjoy supporting my children's sporting lives and gardening.
